LHCOYLE4 Systems Core

resident program

Systems Core V3

The previous face of this page, kept resident. A portfolio-as-program: C++17 and Dear ImGui compiled to WebAssembly, drawing straight to a WebGL2 canvas — no DOM, no framework, 60 fps. Inside: an interactive shell with commands, live virtual CPU/RAM plots, project flow diagrams, and a GIS radar sweep.

Active Builds

BikeDash Field Test C · Kotlin

Android bike computer with a C core (NDK) under a thin Kotlin shell. It rides your music's volume up and down with GPS speed — audible over wind, not blasting at stoplights — and synthesizes nine procedural vehicle soundscapes in C (truck, horse, boat, prop plane, starship…) with hold-to-rev and sensor-reactive one-shots. Offline vector maps (12 US regions in under a megabyte), waypoints, ghost race, theft alarm, battery telemetry. Battery-first: the premium build is ≈2 MB with zero network permissions. 480+ unit tests across the C core and JVM.

Open Survey Drone Design Phase HW · C · Py

An open-source, low-cost multi-sensor survey drone. Three LiDAR ranging heads on servo pan mounts (forward, aft, down), filter-modified NoIR cameras for multispectral NDVI, and an RGB camera for the pilot. Digital FPV pushes live video with telemetry overlay to AR display glasses at roughly 52 ms glass-to-glass; control is standard ExpressLRS RC. The sensor package rides a custom Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W carrier PCB — Eagle layout, opto-isolated, regulated straight off the flight LiPo — replacing a breadboard that weighed too much to fly.

Fuligin Active Dev C99 · SDL2

A vector arcade shooter inspired by Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun and Jack Vance's Dying Earth. Glowing line art on the color darker than black. C99 and SDL2, no engine.

Canfield Playable HTML · JS

Canfield (Demon Patience) solitaire in one self-contained HTML file. Glass-blue JRPG aesthetic, a reactive smoky particle field, and an XP-style win cascade. Drag anchors and pointer-event layers verified with headless Playwright tests.

field work

GIS & Drone Mapping

Remote sensing and spatial analysis, on foot and by air. Recent studies: rewilding in the Chernobyl exclusion zone, a flood model for Portland, and a dike survey at Rayne's Neck. The survey drone above exists to feed this work with cheap LiDAR and NDVI at hobbyist cost.
